The centerpiece of the Chapel by the Sea is the majestic soaring steeple flanked by a white-canopied entrance to a glass-walled gazebo. The scenic ocean view of sailboats, seagulls, and fishermen casting their lures creates a dazzling array of sights and sounds. Accompanied by the whisper of an ebbing tide, the scene is set for the most memorable wedding photos.
Suggested Marriage Format:
- Arrange Bridal Interview: Telephone, E-Mail, or in Person.
- Arrange Date to Audit Bridal Accommodations with Groom or Mother.
- Meet the Pastor—Rev. Fr. J. Mathieu Bureau.
- Select the Date of the Wedding, Determine Number of People Attending, and Choose Photographer, Florist, and Musician.
- Reserve Appropriate Date with Deposit.
- Bride Arrives in Rectory—Pictures taken on Winding Staircase.
- Groom and the Best Man Await the Bride in Chapel with Pictures by the Altar.
- Parents and Friends Are Driven Under Church Canopy for Chapel Entrance with Drive Continuing to the Parking Lot.
Church Background
The Chapel by the Sea is a nondenominational, Christian church founded in 1973. Sunday services, baptisms, confirmations, and Bible studies are all held at the Chapel, as well as weddings, which are our largest endeavor and take place 7 days a week. For your convenience, wedding ceremonies are performed at all times of the day.

Directions
From Providence:
Take 95 South to exit 14. Follow Route 1S. At the 3rd light, turn left on Airport Road. After 3 miles, turn left on Bush Avenue. At the end of Bush, turn left on Symonds. Take the first right on Point Street. The last street is Elgin.
